Tina and Amanda
Tina Louise was an American actor, singer and writer, best known in the role of Ginger Grant from the TV series Gilligan's Island. In the 1950s, she started her professional career as an actor on stage with Bettle Davis' musical Two's Company. In the following years, she appeared on Broadway in various productions until 1957 when Li'l Abner became big in the National Theatre. The same year, She made her debut album of music It's the time for Tina. Louise's first venture into Hollywood was as Griselda in God's Little Acre, a 1958 drama. The film was met with wide praise. Louise won the Golden Globe Award for her performance in the New Star of the year category. She began her studies at Actors Studio in New York and developed her association with Lee Strasberg as his student. The next role she starred in was with the year 1964, when she was signed by CBS for the role of Ginger Grant in 1964. Louise was able to do a fantastic task of switching between Broadway and Hollywood. She was portrayed as a dark as well as contrasting characters from the glamour-doll image she was often portrayed. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. In SG-1 and Helen Magnus on Sanctuary. She has also been a renowned director of famous television shows like Supernatural as well as The 100. Born in Essex on August 28th 1965. Her family emigrated to Toronto at the age of 3 where she subsequently spent growing up and in adolescence. They settled her in Vancouver following her selection to play Samantha Carter.
