Zoe-perry

Perry is she is Chicago native who was born to Laurie Metcalf and Jeff Perry. Her first roles on television included two episodes as Jackie Harris (as seen in flashback) in the ABC sitcom Roseanne, the character portrayed by her mother. She was not allowed to start acting by her parents until the age of adulthood because they were afraid of the strain it might cause. Perry states that she did not want to be an actor in high school, but she decided to begin acting as a social activity during her time at Northwestern University when she switched to the university from Boston University. Perry, after graduating from Boston University, moved in New York in search of television roles. Perry was able to land small roles on shows such as Law & Order: Criminal Intent. However, homesickness drove her to California for theater roles. Perry starred with her mother as part of The Other Place at Broadway at the end of 2013. In 2015 she performed alongside her father and Kevin McKidd in Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prize-winning film Anna Christie on the Odyssey Theatre Ensemble in West Los Angeles. Perry appeared nine times in the ABC drama The Family, in 2016. In 2017, she starred in her own recurring part on the ABC drama about politics Scandal starring her father. The actress also portrayed the younger Mary Cooper in Young Sheldon - an CBS spin-off of The Big Bang Theory. The part was offered by audition even though she has a family tie with the role.
